Shooting the Cimarron Wyatt Earp Frontier Buntline Special
A look and some test firing at the range of the the Cimarron Firearms - Hollywood Frontier Wyatt Earp Buntline Special from the movie Tombstone in .45LC. It is manufactured for Cimarron by the Pietta company in Italy. A great reproduction of a working/firing version of a movie prop, not trying to recreate the mystery/myth of the Colt Buntline Specials. Has a nice smooth trigger, a good site picture, and a firing pin, and not the transfer bar. A great looking 10" blued barrel and a fantastic case colored frame with the Silver inlaid plaque inscribed with "Wyatt Earp Peacekeeper, From the Grateful People Of Dodge City, April 8th, 1878. Was a bit tired at the end of the day, so I didn't talk about all the things I would have liked to, any questions post a comment or send a PM. The beginning sequence where I am loading and you are looking up the barrel was filmed with the camera on a boom, our cameraman was out of harms way! This firearm along with others from Cimarron are in the NRA's American Rifleman magazine I received recently (August 21st). The article starts on page 82.
