Gretsch Electromatic Double Jet Demo
This is a demo of my new Gretsch Electromatic Double Jet. Sparkle Silver color. All stock. Beginning of video goes thru all 3 different pickup options at a clean setting. From there it is just guitar into amp with no effects. Hopefully,this will aid anyone searching for samples of what this guitars tone is like stock and possibly help decide if this guitar is for you or not. The strings seem to be a bit tighter/closer together than my other guitars,which is fine,but I am going to use that as an excuse for my imperfections in the guitar playing.LOL I'll get used to it,its just a different feel.The neck is real nice feeling to me though.I did have issues when adjusting the pickup height.Normally,as you loosen the screws on the sides of the pickup,the pickup raises as you loosen.As I did this,the pickups stayed where they were and the screws loosened,but the pickups didn't come up.I had to find way to pull up on pickups as I loosen the screws.I ended up removing the screws completely,then used one of my wifes crochet hooks and was able to put it in the screw hole and eventually raise the pickup.It was alot harder than it should have been.The spring under the pickup must either be too weak and the pickup sets so tightly into the pickup cavity,that it doesn't like to move easily at all.I also have one tuning peg which is not right.When I changed the strings I found one of the middle tuning keys turned extremely hard.I think something is wrong with that and will need ...
