二島
二島（ふたじま）は、今は埋め立てられていますが、洞海湾の沖合にあった二児島に由来します。洞海湾は明治以来築港工事が行われ、大正時代には二島沖まで及びました。二島には大正期には日米板硝子（後の日本板硝子）が進出し、昭和期には日本炭礦の二島鉱が操業を始めました。それらは現在はなくなり、二島は住宅地、埋立地は工業団地になっています。 kitaqare.d.dooo.jp
